Project Description
EnergyLink conducted detailed energy assessments across a range of agricultural sectors, combining site visits with direct engagement with farm operators to understand energy use, operational requirements and investment priorities. Each assessment included comprehensive analysis and the development of tailored business cases, outlining practical energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities. These business cases incorporated estimated implementation costs, energy savings, sustainability benefits and indicative payback periods to support informed decision-making. In total, EnergyLink completed 36 on-farm energy assessments, covering diverse agricultural operations.

Overview
EnergyLink Services was engaged by the Victorian Government Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) to deliver on-farm energy assessments under the Agricultural Energy Investment Plan (AEIP), supporting agricultural businesses to identify and evaluate practical energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities. The work outcomes reached a broad range of farmers in Victoria and identified opportunities to save over 307,000 litres of diesel, over 2,700 MWh of electricity, and almost $3 million in operating costs.
